The Dry-Salt-Inhaler® brings into your home the same therapeutic effects of salt crystals from the famous Transylvanian Praid Salt Mine. Using the inhaler, the salt induces the self-cleansing process of the respiratory system, in a natural way, without side effects.. The salt deposited in the device was formed in the middle era, around 20 million years ago.
Material and contents: The Dry-Salt-Inhaler® is made of porcelain, which maintains the therapeutic properties of the salt crystals between the two filters. The safety valve opens during inhalation and closes in case of accidental exhalation into the device, forcing nasal exhalation and assuring the therapeutic saline aerosol effect. The safety valve also keeps the salt from becoming moist in case of accidental air exhalation into the inhaler.
Active ingredient: 40 gr. selected halite salt crystals in 100% natural form, from the famous Transylvanian Praid Salt Mine.
"Halite" is the mineral form of salt (sodium chloride), commonly known as rock salt. Halite is found in ancient bedrock where large salt lakes and seas evaporated millions of years ago, leaving thick deposits of salt behind. The halite salt beds can be over 400 m thick and underlie substantial geographical areas in which the salt mines developed.
The active ingredient lasts up to 3 years if stored properly and if liquids or moisture do not pass through the inhaler.
Qualitative composition: NaCl 98.80%-99.40%, Ca2+ 0.059%, Ca in CaSO4 0.18%, Ca in CaCl2 0.014%, Mg2+ 0.001%, Mg in MgCl2 0.004%.
Pharmacological properties: mucolytic, mucokinetic and expectorant, bactericidal, antimycotic, anti-allergic and antiphlogistic. The saline aerosol optimally penetrates into, protects and regenerates the respiratory mucous membrane.
Contraindication: Those with organ failure should not use this product.
Warning and special precaution: No information is available regarding safety or effectiveness of the device for children under the age of 3, owing to co-operation difficulty. Do not let saliva or any liquid to pass through the device because the active ingredient can be compromised.
Interaction with other medical products: The Dry-Salt-Inhaler® can be used in combination with
other medicines. No modification of blood pressure has been observed withthe use of the device, thanks to its local effect mechanism. Counter-reactions: occur rarely, are mild and transitory. Some people noticea mild dry cough or dry mouth.
How to use the device: Shake the inhaler twice before use. Introduce the pipe into the mouth. Inhale from the device with normal intensity and without force. After inhalation, remove the inhaler, close your mouth and exhale through the nose. For best results, the Dry-Salt-Inhaler® should be used 15-20 minutes per day, or 5-7 minutes at a time, three times a day. Avoid deep or forced inhaling. Nasal exhaling is compulsory in order to sustain the therapeutic effect of the salt.
Therapy with this inhaler does not replace the ethologic, pathogenic and symptomatic treatment of acute or chronic respiratory infections. Simultaneous treatment is recommended. The Dry-Salt-Inhaler represents a natural and complementary treatment.
Treatment duration: The recommended average length of treatment is 21 days, which can be repeated whenever necessary. In recurrent respiratory diseases, the device can be used daily, without side effects. In some chronic bronchitis patients, coughing becomes more frequent during the first seven days of daily treatment. For prophylaxis of respiratory complaints, the device can be used daily for unlimited time without side effects.

Adverse reactions: occur rarely, are mild and transitory. Some people may experience transient mild dry cough at the start of the salt therapy. This is an indication that the cleansing of the respiratory tract has begun.
